However this refund did not materialise! I have spoken to numerous people this morning, each time waiting on hold and being cut of! The usual! I have again been told that the accommodation was live!!!!!! It is NOT. He took my bank details and assured me that a refund for the accommodation of around £1700 would be paid into my bank within 14 to 21 days. I spoke with a member of the Travel Trust Association at the beginning of April who did confirm that the accommodation was in fact cancelled! Finally some light at the end of the tunnel. I have spoke countless times with Travel Trust association who had been extremely unhelpful, they repeatedly told me my holiday was live despite having direct confirmation from the hotel that my accommodation was cancelled. I then spoke with citizens advice who advised me that I could make a claim to the small claims court.

I contacted the bank to ask if I could raise a merchant dispute but due to the holiday being paid in full in April 2020 I could not do that. I then contacted TUI who teletext booked the flights with and they informed me that they’re still live and that I cannot cancel the flights as they were booked through a third party provider. They told me that they do not have any co operation with Travel Trust association. I informed them that teletext had ceased trading and it may be under a different name Travel Trust association. I emailed the accommodation and they informed me that they had received a booking in October 2021 but was then cancelled in November 2021. I didn’t have much confidence since I hadn’t even received any correspondence regarding the fact that Teletext were no longer trading. I contacted Travel Trust Association who told me that the holidays was still live. Needless to say it took a lot of investigation attempting to figure out what to do next. I only found out about this due to not being able to access my travel documents using the Teletext holidays app.
I found out in January 2022 that Teletext holidays had gone into liquidation. This holiday has been paid in full £3186. I again rebooked the holiday to commence July 2022.
I booked a holiday for myself, my Husband and Daughter back in January 2020 with Teletext holidays, this was cancelled due to the pandemic and rebooked for July 2021, again this was cancelled due to the pandemic. AVOID AVOID AVOID!! This company is the worst I've ever dealt with. when I pointed out that everyone has a surname, eventually she gave me one but I knew it was fake. Apparently she didn't have a surname either. When I questioned him about this disgusting behaviour, he hung up!! In a rage I rang back and had a female advisor who gave her name as Deborah when I asked for it. On the 4th time I got through to a male advisor who proceeded to do an extremely loud burp down the phone at me. The best one was when I rang up a few days ago, I was cut off 3 times.

I've made 30 plus phone calls to Truly Travel, I get cut off constantly, I'm being told they need more time when I do speak to an advisor. This was provided and 6 weeks later I'm still trying to get my money back from them. I was asked to get evidence of the refund from Ryanair. Truly Travel has disputed that they received the refund. Ryanair issued my refund but it was sent to Truly Travels bank account instead of mine. I ended up cancelling the rescheduled flight and re-booking it at the discounted price. I wasn't happy with this as we will lose a whole day of our 5 day trip and the flight we were moved too was also £115 cheaper than the one I'd booked early in the morning. Once the balance was paid, Ryanair, who are my flight operator, cancelled my flight and moved it to a late night flight. Teletext went bust and my holiday was passed to Truly Travel. Absolutely horrific company!! My holiday was booked through Teletext last year for a birthday gift for my daughters 18th birthday.
